Check customs procedures for imported fruits
Step 1: Check the import list
To be allowed to import fruit products into Vietnam, customers need to check whether such fruit or fruit products have been allowed to be imported into Vietnam from that exporting country.

Step 2: Apply for a phytosanitary license
If fruit products are allowed to be imported into Vietnam from the exporting country, the customer needs to determine whether the product is subject to a phytosanitary license in Circular 30/2014/TT-BNNPTNT. link above.
Businesses need to prepare documents to apply for a phytosanitary license before the goods arrive according to the following form:
Step 3: Register to do phytosanitary at the border gate
- Register online for phytosanitary on the single window system www.vnsw.gov.vn.
- Registration documents include: Phytosanitary certificate of origin of exporting country, Phytosanitary license, Registration certificate

Procedures for granting phytosanitary certificate
1/ Order of execution
- Step 1: Businesses (traders) submit dossiers directly at the Plant Protection Department or send them by post.
- Step 2: The Plant Protection Department receives the dossier and considers and guides the organization and individual to add missing or incorrect contents in case the organization or individual submits the application directly or in within 03 (three) working days from the date of receiving the dossier in case of receiving the dossier by post.
- Step 3: Appraise the dossier and issue the import phytosanitary license
– If the application is complete and valid as prescribed, within 15 (fifteen) working days, the Plant Protection Department must issue an import phytosanitary license according to form 05/BVTV issued together with Circular No. 04/2015/TT-BNNPTNT.
– In case the dossier is not valid, notify the organization or individual of the contents that need to be supplemented and completed according to regulations.
– In case of refusal to issue a phytosanitary important license, the Plant Protection Department shall notify the organization or individual in writing and clearly state the reason.
2/ Composition of the number of records
